VMP – Equipment Intelligence Platform

What we built

A centralized platform controlling equipment, rentals, teams, and projects for a production company. VMP manages equipment across dozens of productions simultaneously. Before this system, the team tracked everything in Excel and WhatsApp. Availability was guesswork. Profitability was invisible. Admin consumed hours that should have gone to production.

Innovo replaced all of it with a single platform built around exactly how VMP works.

Equipment management

Every item in the VMP inventory is tracked in real time using QR codes. Live status updates show whether each piece of equipment is available, rented out, in active use, or in maintenance. Each asset record holds its serial number, condition logged before and after every rental, rate per day, current location, active client, and the team member responsible for it. Every item is searchable and auditable at any point.

The system eliminates the question of where something is. You open the platform and you know.

Availability engine

The platform prevents double bookings automatically. Before any equipment assignment is confirmed, rental dates are checked against every existing booking in the system. If there is a conflict, the system blocks the assignment and flags it. No more calling around to find out if something is free. No more discovering a double booking on the day of a shoot.

Profitability tracking

Management sees exactly how much revenue each piece of equipment generates per project and per client. Maintenance and repair costs are deducted automatically. The platform surfaces which assets are performing and which are underperforming, down to the individual item level.

This makes decisions about purchasing, retiring, or repositioning equipment data-driven rather than instinct-based.

Agentic AI

Multiple AI agents are embedded in the platform to handle the highest-volume admin tasks. Agents write proposals from brief inputs, generate invoices from project records, and send payment reminders automatically when due dates pass. They learn from feedback over time, improving output quality with each interaction.

Team members interact with the agents through natural conversation, giving short answers instead of filling in forms or typing long instructions. The system does the rest.

WhatsApp dashboard control

The entire platform is controllable via WhatsApp. Whitelisted team members can send a voice message or a text and the system responds, updates records, creates new orders, or retrieves information exactly as a team member working directly in the dashboard would.

A production manager on a set can ask what equipment is available next week, create a rental order, or check what a project has earned so far, all without opening a laptop. The system responds in seconds.
